Bergdahl celebration set for June 28
Event is now themed "Bowe is Back"

The Wood River Valley will celebrate the release of U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl in an event called "Bowe is Back" on Saturday, June 28, from 1-5 p.m. at Hop Porter Park in Hailey.
The event was going to be called "Bring Bowe Back" but the name and the theme were changed after the soldier from Hailey was released from captivity in Afghanistan on Saturday.
Event co-organizer Debbie Oneill said Bergdahl's parents, Bob and Jani Bergdahl, will speak at the event. In addition, singer-songwriter Carole King will perform. Idaho Sen. Michelle Stennett, D-Ketchum, will be the keynote speaker.
The event will feature activities for children and food will be served.

I just saw video of the upper level al Quaeda meeting and greeting these ‘terrorist detainees’. It sure looked like “aid and comfort” to me.
Totally wrong. Totally misguided and appalling.
Now that we know more -- including the terrorists we released (in violation of the Constitution); the circumstances of Bergdahl's separation from his unit (voluntary, it now seems); and the deaths of our soldiers seeking to rescue Bergdahl (who, quite probably, did not want to be rescued) -- I suspect the celebrations will be quietly scuttled.
A long time ago, I’d agree with you, that the farce would be called off.
Now, I’m pretty sure the show will go on, and those who question it will be “gaslighted”...they’ll be told nothing is wrong, and that they are crazy for questioning it.
It’s been that way for a few years now.
I would hope that some honorable troops or vets would make their presence known (nothing violent) to remind people that Bergdahl is NOT honorable, that his going AWOL caused the death of 6 other soldiers.
He is a Deserter in my opinion. That aside, I doubt if hell be emotionally healthy enough to appear at that ceremony unless its still photos from a hospital room.
Call the VFW in Hailey ID, and raise hell about them celebrating a traitor.
Matter of fact CALL them and give them an earfull.
Last I heard from Carole King, she was singing “You’ve Got a Friend” to inFidel Castro.

If you think this celebration is over the top, think about the Taliban parties going down. Obama has put the errr, TaliBand back together.

The event was already scheduled as a “Bring Bowe Back” rally, now changed to “Welcome Back Bowe.” I sure am curious about the attention the family was able to generate. No one seems to listen to the families of the men killled at Benghazi.
I would suggest that the town of Hailey immediately cancel any “celebration” ceremony for the release and home coming of Bowe Bergdahl, known traitor/treason and “Taliban” open supporter. Both Bergdahl & Obama are traitors for their actions. Other then Sen. Claire MacCaskill....no rank and file Democrat has raised a voice to support either Obama or Bergdahl!!
The anger in the country is rising to a fever pitch....across all lines!!! The parents of Bowe Bergdahl are not wrapped too tight either, and I believe it is prudent for Bergdahl to come home and face a court martial....rather then a celebration for his country loyalty!!! This gent should be sent to military prison for his actions, after receiving a fair, unbiased court martial.
As for Obama....he should be immediately impeached!!!
