Being a little Polyannish, aren't we? We are talking about the NFL here. These guys have lived and breathed football at least since high school - they are well aware of the risks of playing the game and what goes on in college and professional football...on and off the field.

It's a violent sport; everyone knows it. Many of these players are ‘juiced up’ as well. Ever seen these guys at close range? They're absolute monsters, to say the least.

I didn’t say the case has any merit, or that I’d ever side with an NFL player if I were on a jury in a civil court case. I just pointed out the basis for Marino’s lawsuit without knowing anything more about the facts behind the case.
