Do you have electric heat and an electric water heater? We have ~1800sf in Ohio and pay ~$100/month for electric and same for gas. Electric stove but gas heat and water heater. Course it’s up a bit in winter and down a bit in summer. Wife doesn’t let us use the AC not that it bugs me much, and keeps the heat at 59* in the winter, but that’s what sweaters are for... So either it’s a combined bill or NY is worse than I already thought.
Report (not me) from upstate NY, two months of winter, emery utilities combined for 1500 sf $1,700. A pay plan, plus April at $500.
Not a peep about Obama. But the college educated gougee tells us that with global warming, the jersey shore, where the rest of the family lives, will see a ten foot rose in sea level over the next ten years
The answer, ‘that’s what they say. I don’t think so’
Response, ‘grrr. It oh eh eh eh yes it certainly is oh oh oh i just can’t talk about it!’
It’ll go way up and they’ll still blame bush and vote d
But you know, I lived there and voted for Reagan. He won that state
He did.
GOOD LORD if we had electric heat !!! Ack !!!
No, and we even had all new high-end, high efficiency windows and doors put in. We are more comfy, but the power rates are moving up at such a pace that you can’t average up.
Gas for heat, hot water and cooking stove. Electric for lights, etc.
We are in the NYSEG area of NY. Otherwise known as Death Valley. You either freeze to death, or starve to death. Take your pick.
