The 12-year-old girls had been plotting the murder for months, police say.
Morgan E. Geyser was allowed to have two friends over each year for her birthday. This year, she'd celebrate on May 30. That is the day she and Anissa E. Weier would try to kill their friend during a sleepover.
On Monday, the two Waukesha girls were charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court as adults with attempted first-degree intentional homicide, each facing up to 65 years in prison. Their victim, another 12-year-old from Waukesha, was stabbed 19 times by either Geyser or Weier or both, according to a criminal complaint. All three attend Horning Middle School in Waukesha.
Geyser and Weier are being held on $500,000 bail each. The pre-teens attempted murder, they told police, to pay homage to a fictional character who they believed was real after reading about him on a website devoted to horror stories.
On Saturday, a bicyclist found the victim, lying on the sidewalk and covered in blood, with injuries to her arms, legs and torso. She had managed to crawl out of the woods, where the suspects had left her. She was rushed to a hospital, where she was in stable condition Monday evening, but fighting for her life.

This story obviously shows the need for more GUN CONTROL!
“The pre-teens attempted murder, they told police, to pay homage to a fictional character who they believed was real after reading about him on a website devoted to horror stories.”
I hope the victim survives. These stories show what happens in a post-Christian world...
I can’t get my mind around this.
But let’s make sure they don’t hear anything about God in the classroom.
It would be interesting to know just how much these girls were delving into the occult world. They indicated that they were devoted to (worshiped??) Slinder and willing to do a ritualistic murder for him. I’m betting that it goes deeper than that. Were they practicing “witchcraft” like teens seen in some popular movies (even Disney movies like “Teen Witch”)?
This isn’t just innocent teenage fantasy play-time stuff. It allows real demons to eventually take over their lives.
It’ll be the fault of conservatives, somehow. Leftists advocate nonviolence, you see, so it must be somebody else.
Yes...why is this information in the story>?
“Schimel, a Republican running for state attorney general, said he had to bring the case in adult court because of the level of charges against the girls. He said he expected the girls’ attorneys to attempt to “reverse waive” them into juvenile court, which he said he would resist.”
Because it’s MEAN REPUBLICANS who want to try these young girls in adult court.
They can hear about it in CCD, at home, bible camp, or a mirid of other places.
A class on respect seems more apropriate to school.
I thought she had died. She crawled out of the woods, the poor girl, but she’s alive. Her attackers are truly psychotic. I want to know what this fictional character is, and who the author is.
“Leftists advocate nonviolence, you see, so it must be somebody else.”

The left advocates nonviolence right up until you disagree with their agenda, then they want to kill you. I am not being sarcastic, just telling it as I see it. It is astounding the way these twisted people talk about how tolerant and compassionate they are and then when a conservative figure like Breitbart suddenly dies you hear, “Oh, maybe there IS a God after all.” Sick, sick, sick and disgusting and they project their sickness onto those who disagree with them even as they pat themselves on the back for being so wonderful. Psychic vampires is the best description of these degenerates. They condemn everything good in others while imagining themselves to possess all virtue.
As the driving forces for the world's philosophies, and thus its governments, any worthwhile study of history would demand some consideration of the basic principles of the world's religions.
Christianity, whether you like it or not, has been a major factor in the formation of Western Civilization, including America.
It isn't possible to teach anything but a string of names and dates without delving into what motivated those who shaped their world.
I saw this story yesterday but refrained from posting it out of deep sadness, shock, and disgust. Instead, I sent it to all of my children who are raising teens. It is too soon to determine the “WHY”, but we certainly can credit lack of parental supervision over their teens’ on line activities. These kids are from “nice” areas.
After the courts deal with these teens, I hope their find the sicko who posted this “game” on the Internet.
May the victim recover physically and psychologically.
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
I watched a ‘48 Hours’ (or the like) episode on a story like this, just last week. The girls were in High School, but the story was the same. No remorse, no comprehension of the EVIL they had committed. None.
Life matters so little. Thanks, Democrats! But, Roe v. Wade was all about women’s ‘privacy’ and not the taking of a human life. Grrrrrrr!
The only school prayers allowed are after the mass shootings.
Then they get a one-day ‘hall pass’.
All they need is a Charlie Manson to follow.
Idols and false gods attract very real demons that will assume the role, imho.
the whole world has become sick and horrible
Creepypasta is just a site for scary internet ghost stories. Killing someone over anything on it is like killing someone over Dungeons & Dragons. A person has to already have some psychological flaw to go nuts over something like that. If not Creepypasta it would have been something else at some point.
I am sorry, but what the F is this? Is someone trying to redefine murder?
Uh?
