Pentagon Official: Why Obama Made The Taliban Trade

While my dad was a lifer in the Air Force, I don’t know much about promotions in the military. Someone sent an email to a local radio station yesterday and said that there is no way he could or should be promoted as he hasn’t taken classes, passed tests, etc. (I don’t know what needs to transpire for a promotion).

Everything Obama does or says is political and this prisoner swap is no different. What Obama fails to grasp is that the media and many of the American people are starting to see him as the liar he is. He was counting on the Rose Garden ceremony, the heroes welcome for Bergdahl and his "bold" move to rescue the only US "POW" to boost his falling popularity. While some of the media will support this fabrication even the more liberal pundits are shaking their heads and the US public is not buying the propaganda.

Obama seems to think that a great speech and the public's adulation for him will "fix" the problem. His speech and the phony resignation of Gen. Shinseki in Obama's mind will make the VA scandal go away. Labeling the IRS scandal a political witch hunt and his assurance there was not a smidgen of corruption at the IRS will end that mess. His continued assurances that you can keep your doctor and insurance plan and save $2500 per year will offset the fact that it was a total lie. Obama is delusional.

that is what they will tell us and like always me and mine will ignore them.

It's not my fault obama got a second chance it was romeny and his peoples fault that said they did not want or need Paul supporters.

IIRC, there are no “tests” to pass in the Army, there is a board that you go before for E-5 and E-6 (E-7 promotions and above are a centralized board that looks at your records, you don’t appear before it) unless they’ve changed things. He was promoted to E-5 without going through that, so they could do it again. I was “poofed” (instantly promoted for merit) to Specialist 6 by a general so I never had to go to that board, except for E-5.
