I actually think this is going to accentuate the VA scandal. I rarely make predictions, but there will be more firings after Shenseki (who we all know was forced to resign) once the full scope of the VA cover-up is revealed.
Interestingly, both issues are shaping up to create bi-partisan outrage. Even the socialist/communist Dimocrats don't like to face an angry populace regarding mis-treatment of our Service members. If the next Repub nominee to the WH uses this unmercifully, he may be the winner 2016. At the very least, the mid-term Dims are even in deeper doodoo. They can blame Bush for the VA scandal, although Obambi has had all these years to fix it, but this treasonous release of the Taliban is all on him.
