Wideawake is correct here. Visit a courtroom where a lot of people are waiting for arraignment. The first thing is to plead not guilty. Next the judge will ask the attorneys about waivers. Virtually every attorney will agree to waive the right to a speedy trial. Most times their clients don’t WANT a speedy anyway. There are a lot of other rights that are routinely waived.

And people wonder why there is no respect for the so-called 'justice' system in America.
