WARSAW, Poland (AP) — President Barack Obama on Tuesday defended his decision to release five Afghan detainees from Guantanamo Bay in exchange for an American soldier's freedom, saying his administration had consulted with Congress "for some time" about that possibility. The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff left open the possibility of desertion charges against the soldier.

Senate Intelligence Committee Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein said Tuesday that the White House told her that it was on “oversight” that Congress didn’t receive the required notification about the prisoner exchange deal that secured the release of U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.

Mrs. Feinstein, California Democrat, said the excuse came from Tony Blinken, President Obama’s deputy national security adviser.

“Tony Blinken called last night and said that it was an oversight or something to that effect. So I accept that,” she told reporters at the Capitol.

There's going to come a time when the press will be running for the hills...they've pissed off countless Americans with lies and allegiance to communism/socialism/marxism. We could hound our elected so-called "leaders", picket their local offices, burn up their phone lines and e-mails, organize Tea Party rallies, call into local radio shows, write letters to the editor, troll Leftist websites, all demanding this a**clown be impeached and removed from office. So what if it wouldn't get past the 'Rat-held Senate now...if we start building momentum now, maybe where there's a GOP Senate and House next January, we could make him the first so-called "president" to be removed from office.

His Secretary of State, Susan Rice was just on all of the Sunday shows explicitly stating that Obama did NOT consult with or inform Congress because their were special circumstances that required such fast action on Obama’s part that consulting with Congress was simply impossible.
