Why not go to $100 per hour - now that would be a “Living Wage” as they leftists like to spout.

Hey it’s California! They should triple it. Show everybody that they are a bunch of “nice” people.

Why not?

I’m sure other states could use the business.

What should the people already making $15.00 per hour do when the fast fooders make the same money?

I think it would be wonderful if everyone in San Diego got paid $1000/hr. as soon as they start kindergarten.

What! Only 15 dollars an hour, I vote for 25! What is the problem with this anyway... Okay, maybe 30 would be better! Seems that the cost does not matter to the actual businesses that pay these folks, so what the heck!

San Diego is nothing like Seattle, so I don’t think this is going to happen.

I’m self employed. It stands to reason that I should get a minimum wage. That means forcing people to buy my crappy products that are still in R&D.

Sounds fair to me.

There is a large segment of the population that is simply not worth $15.00/hr with their existing experience and job skills.

What happens to these people when it becomes cost prohibitive to hire and invest in training them?

Put yourself in the shoes of an American minimum wage worker.

They have to compete against non-Americans in a race to the bottom. Because 3rd world people will work for 3rd world wages. And big business knows it. That’s why they want open borders.

What’s your job? Firefighter? Cop? DWP worker? Teacher? Nobody’s going to underbid YOU and take your job. You’ve got a union.

This nation has utterly failed to protect the most vulnerable struggling American workers from invaders who have destroyed entire industries with low wages.

Since their government won’t protect them by doing its first and foremost job of policing the borders, what does everyone expect? They should take up arms? Field an army themselves?

Passing legislation like this is the least our craven cowardly government can do for burger flippers.

The other week, Switzerland rejected a minimum wage of 22 CHF ($24.50) by a popular vote of 76% to 24%, leaving Switzerland still without any minimum wage.

I wonder what the impact is on those racist shopkeepers in Zurich.

Absolutely they should increase the minimum wage, but since SD is more dynamic and in uber-liberal California, they should double it.
