The oil and gas companies are rolling in money. They should be training the people they need, instead of expecting the TX taxpayers to do it. Besides, most training institutions can’t afford to train on the latest technology because it is extremely expensive. The oil and gas companies could train on the equipment they actually use, thus eliminating the need to re-train.
Where did you get that?
And I believe most that work in the industry, don't work directly for an oil/gas company. Many are like me, working for a contractor or other support company.
