One better - my Dad retired as a banker right when ATM machines began to become mainstream - to this day, he doesn't have a card and carries cash or cashes checks when he needs an influx.

And voicemail is still an "answering service"

I barely survived showing my mother how to pay at the pump. She brags about it, and acts as if she possesses secret knowledge. The disconnect is amazing. She has friends with smart phones, and my dad started getting emails from friends he swore wouldn’t even know what that was. It’s very individualized.
