The Taliban found Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl walking alone, acting abnormally and cursing his countrymen before they captured him in Afghanistan in 2009, two men who were Taliban commanders at the time told NBC News on Thursday.
They said that Afghan locals first informed fighters about the soldier, and then the fighters rushed to capture him.
“Our people at the time couldn’t understand his language, but it was after he was shifted to a safe location, he said he wasn’t happy with his countrymen, but he didn’t intend to convert to Islam or join mujahideen (holy warriors),” one of the commanders said.
The commanders said that Taliban officers first thought it was a trick — perhaps an American soldier sent out alone to spy on the enemy.
“As we never saw their soldier patrolling alone … we would ask him how he managed to walk out of his base,” one of the commanders said. “He would tell us that it was personal issue.”

As strange as it sounds I believe the Taliban...what if he is a doofus/deserter. Imagine them coming across him walking thru the countryside alone...cussing at the world....My god you can’t make this up if you tried.
It had to be Bergdahl. The Afghani boys knew that this was a strange bird, an anomaly and went to tell the soldiers what they saw.
Court martial the bastard and then death by firing squad. That would be the perfect world though.
The “countrymen” he was cursing was his fellow soldiers. I wouldn’t call that “covering for him”.
There is talk that Bergdahl LEFT A NOTE to his squad members telling them that he was deserting and that he will not fight for America any longer.
We need to produce that note as evidence IF IT EXISTS.

The question is whether the Obama Administration can make it up, and whether the Taliban would follow their lead.
And note that to even be able to ask sucha a question means that this situation is so far out into the Twilight Zone that even Rod Sterling would be dizzy by now.

Personally, I think he collaborated with the enemy. They are protecting him by making this the narrative. I don’t for a minute think the Taliban are telling the entire truth.
The tipping point for this will be if The Grand Imperial Kenyan knew about this before choosing to free the 5. But on the other hand, the jellyfish posing as Republicans will probably do nothing.
