A Five-Sided Kennel of Cowardice
American Thinker ^ | June 3, 2014 | Russ Vaughn

That lukewarm reception Barack Obama received at West Point last week was indicative of the widely held view among the troops that the man is a truly incompetent commander in chief, or as the language-mangling Al Sharpton might say, “the Commander of the Chiefs.” Notice that I said the troops, not their senior leadership. If our Pentagon weren’t currently occupied by the perfumed princes of political correctness, we might be seeing some courageous generals and admirals falling on their swords and exposing this failure of leadership instead of enabling it. Those ambitious cowards should ponder the reality that neither “I was only doing my duty” nor “I was only following orders” is a viable defense.

...

There is no way that the White House could have pulled off this "wag the dog" stunt without considerable acquiescence from the highest levels of our military leadership. Those perfumed princes, led by their secretary of defense, have made themselves complicit in the crime by carrying out an order that they all knew to be unlawful.

...

What is truly disheartening is that not a single one of the perfumed princes had the courage or honor to resign in protest.

Never trust a guy with stars on his shoulders. It’s too bad. We used to have really top-notch military leaders. Now they’re just desk pilots. They’ve forgotten how to lead and, really, they never knew how to inspire. They’re just managers now, with all the dreariness that implies.

Perfumed Princes, sums it up pretty well. Although I wish to insult their manliness, and call them princess instead.
Nutless PC wonders works too.

Oh please. The military has been conditioned by 45 years of PC. For decades they have been applying bullshit, saluting bullshit and mouthing bullshit “or else”. THIS invading and taking over the minds of men is the REAL reason for PC, NOT support for what ever ‘truth’ is espoused.

I do not believe that what is left of our senior officers of command and Flag rate were anything but facilitators that were at some point utilized to make this deal work out in the end...

Their “acquiescence” is only tempered by the fact that they all DO talk about these “wag the dog” (political moves) by administrations like this, from a standpoint of how will this effect the personnel under MY command, “first and foremost”...

Remember, we have seen a tremendous purging of flag officers and other senior commanders being given their walking papers under this administration...The ones let go are out doing their thing...The ones that are left, that survived that purging, are looking at this from a standpoint of preservation of the command, not their position in the chain, but the personnel and their safety, as much as possible...

This is a typical long-term outlook by these remaining officers...

The immediacy of the effects (on deployed service members) of this “exchange” may have been negligible, but they are certainly palatable from a political sense...

Since this is still fresh on the news cycle, we will probably see more digging and opinions expressed by some offices who may very well be on their way out of the service anyway...I think we should hold judgment on these flag officers till we see more of the results effects of this exchange...

Also, there is one point by the author that I do agree with 100%...

There IS NO WAY that a political backlash against the administration had not been considered by Obama and his ilk as a result of this action...

They weighed it very carefully and when it was pre-determined to not be a political storm that the administration could not weather...They went ahead anyway and did the deal...

Which brings me to a conclusion...

There will be NOTHING done to this president or anyone involved with this deal...

That is a failure of the legislation and the judicial, you know, those checks and balances we keep hearing about...

So in essence, we need to remain focused on November and lame duck these asshats into oblivion till the GOP elitists and establishment get their heads out of their posteriors (if possible) and take back the White House next time...

Otherwise, you can bet your arse from a hole in the ground that Hillary chick will continue to screw this pooch till Michelle Obama (potential senator candidate) can position herself for Obama 2.0 down the road...

You think the stooped people that kept this guy in office for this long will do any differently???

Remember, long-term...

In the meantime, check six, and keep the powder dry...
