I remember a case not too long ago where they reviewed a drug dog’s record. Turns out the dog was wrong as much as he was right. Basically a coin flip, but still probable cause in the eyes of the law.

i have heard these dogs sometimes trigger b/c the handler gives them cues they want them to trigger on.

The dogs are trained off-record to trigger when the handler gives a small signal. It's nothing but an excuse to search anyone at will

I thought they trained the dogs with a signal to react as though drugs are detected as an excuse to search.
