What I know is that the black EM’s I was around in the Army were constantly derogatory and contemptuous of Pres. Bush and Republicans and Israel in general. I know that they and black civilian's gathered in the break room to watch the announcement of the O J Simpson verdict and engaged in what can only be called a celebration of the not guilty verdict and I know several company grade officers were very forward in letting people know they were excused for the day to take part in Farrakan’s Million Man March and one captain made it a point to change from his Class One Uniform into what can only be called thug garb at the office so everyone would know he was ‘down for the struggle’. Maybe enlisted blacks are different in the USMC.
In the early and mid 1980s I was spending some time with a French unit, and learned that all the pistols on the officers and NCOs were always loaded, this was in France, on field exercises and in garrison.
One French Lt had a friend in the US Marines, and he couldn’t understand how he had to wear an unloaded pistol, and that there were parts of Navy ships that a US officer could not enter because they were under hostile black control and were off limits to whitey.
I assume that his Marine friend had told him about stuff during the 1970s, but don’t remember for sure.
