The meeting was prompted most recently by "wildings" terrorizing San Leandro. Authorities say that over the last few months, large groups of teenagers - as many as 100 - have been attacking, scaring and robbing victims at malls and at near BART stations. On Friday, the police department put out a flyer about this "new crime trend" involving "unruly young adults."

“Unruly Young Adults” is the term the flyer uses.
They need to change that to read “YoUng Unruly AdulTS (YUUTS)” so folks begin to use the term “Yuuts” (or “Yutes”) when they call 911 to report the assaults and/or murders that the Yutes are committing. That way the 911 operators would understand their situation quicker.
And I’m being only very MILDLY sarcastic.

Seriously, for the PD to tell people to “obey their instructions” is only enabling these thugs.
Better advice: Arm yourself in case you find yourself in a situation where your life is in danger. Co-operating with thugs is no guarantee that they won’t beat the tar out of you, or even kill you.
At minimum, I carry a 4” folding knife with a really nasty serrated edge that rips flesh open. No clean cutting razor edge for me.
At other times, although illegal in Kalifornia, I will carry a Beretta 92 with 15 CorBons or HydraShoks + 1 in the pipe.
Distract them. Throw them your wallet or phone. That half a second is all you need...

The term “wilding” hearkens back to the wild days of Mayor Dinkins in NYC (pre-Giuliani); it was used to describe the actions of the young blacks when the Central Park jogger was raped.
Another term from that time was whirlpooling, in which even younger unassimilated minorities would surround a young female victim in a city pool and sexually assault her.
Today these stories wouldn’t even be reported; back then we had a media that was just as sensationalist as today, but with less political correctness. NJ received a lot of white taxpayers from that dark period in NYC’s history...
