Some communities and organizations simply define pepper spray as a weapon and therefore banned.Or require a license.Just as there are places where you are forbidden to install a kick-proof entry door or own a protective vest.

There’s an opinion article floating around the interwebs where an idiot makes the point that guns obviously don’t need to be legal since this incident was halted with simple pepper spray.

We have some real geniuses in this country.
