Texas Senator Ted Cruz told Breitbart Texas that this "humanitarian crisis" is a "direct consequence" of the Obama Administration's actions and rhetoric surrounding illegal immigration.
"We need a president who is willing to uphold the law," Cruz said. "On issue after issue the Obama Administration has openly ignored, defied, and unilaterally tried to change the law. With respect to securing the border, the Obama Administration has handcuffed the courageous men and women who serve in Border Patrol. Morale in ICE is at an all-time low because the political operatives leading this Administration are preventing them from doing their job and upholding the law."
He continued, "Just a few months before the last election the president illegally and unconstitutionally granted amnesty to some 800,000 people illegally. If the president wants to change federal immigration laws, the Constitution lays out a way to do so--you go and make your case to Congress and you convince Congress to change the laws...unfortunately for President Obama, following the Constitutional structure is apparently too cumbersome. One of the consequences were seeing on the border is a humanitarian crisis that is a direct consequence of Obama's lawlessness."
Cruz argued that by granting amnesty to such large numbers of illegal immigrants, Obama prompted a "change in behavior." In Cruz's view, the recent spike in illegal immigration can be attributed to such actions by the Administration.

I completely agree with Ted Cruz.
Our current president however, has the support of far too many democrats and Republicans (that is particularly galling) on this issue, and we need to oppose that strongly.

Getting more people into the US is the only way Uncle Sammy can keep printing money or debt. Each new immigrant gets a $100,000 debt load with every new citizenship.
They could convince the REPUBLICAN governors of TX, NM and AZ to declare a state of emergency and send their NG to the border and seal it.
The House could use the power of the purse and shut down everything, for real this time.
It is a complete curiosity and a matter of grave concern to me that the House has not filed Articles of Impeachment against Ophonybama and other members of his administration.
The only explanation I can come up with is that the Republicans FEAR the Democrats more than they fear We the People.
With regard to the National Guard and a state of emergency, I just don’t think the states have the monetary resources to do that. Plus, my guess is that they FEAR the Feds, also.
Ophonybama has shown no ability or willingness to abide by the Rule of Law or the Constitution thus far. Why should he start now?
He does not FEAR us, is why!
So, we are back to, IMHO, holding on and delaying as much of his program as we can until we can force change on the makeup of our government. The Ophonybama LIEberal/Socialist/Marxist/Fascist Regime will fight us every step of the way.
These may be interesting times, but they are very troubling times, also.
Wish I had a better solution to the problem.
