And most of those are guys trying to get out of guard duty, want to be “soldier of the quarter” or bucking for promotion. I was a notoriously disheveled soldier yet some how made E-6 in less than four years.

Hell...I was Soldier of the Quarter! But I still didn't make E-6...I was an E-5P(ermanent). Then again, I couldn't keep my mouth shut about how much I hated Klinton, so was I going to the board? Not likely.
