WASHINGTON — Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl has told medical officials that his captors locked him in a metal cage in total darkness for weeks at a time as punishment for trying to escape, and while military doctors say he now is physically able to travel he is not yet emotionally ready for the pressures of reuniting with his family, according to American officials who have been briefed on his condition.

He has received a letter from his sister but has not yet responded, and objects when hospital staff address him as sergeant instead of private first class, his rank when he was captured nearly five years ago after walking off a remote outpost in eastern Afghanistan, the official said.

You said...

“At what point does the public say both the Administration and the media apologists, like the NYT, can not be trusted.”

Judging from their subscription levels, I would say the public already has

5’ 9” tall and 160 pounds? Hmmm, I thought he was suffering from malnutrition? Seems like he ate just fine.

Lie after lie after lie out of this administration and I doubt we will ever hear the real story as to him deserting from him. Thanks to the brave soldiers that served with him, we’ve gotten a good picture, but I’m sure Bergdahl will say they are lying.

If that were your child, wouldn't you already be in Germany to see him? I find this whole story bizarre.

The spin machine is going into warp drive on this one.

No kidding. They've always had to work hard to cover for 0bama, but now they're desperate.

I’m beginning to wonder of Obama didn’t personally take the 5 GITMO prisoners home on AF-1 when he visited Afghanistan.

The nyt is in overdrive covering for Bergdahl. This is the 2nd article now. Probably more to come.

You'll find similar stuff on AP, Reuters, WaPo, etc... the White Hut seems to have put out the marching orders to the whole Journolist gang.

They are real heroes. God bless them. And I note they did not forget how to speak English like the deserter did.

Only needed to read the first sentence to know that this is 110% complete fabrication, lies, made up story.

People keep saying ‘pray that America wakes up’ ... the problem is ... most of us could detect these lies in our sleep, dead, even before we were born.

Does anyone really think that people who voted for Obama 2ce would be anything but MORE dangerous if they were awake?

The stupidity of man knows no boundary. The thing about a fungus on a tree is that, while it’s not smart, it’s not capable of doing much harm. What we see in mankind is ACTIVE stupidity .... rocket propelled ignorance. The Buddhists would call it Samsara, the root of all suffering. Christians would call it ‘Evil.’ Islamists (just another incarnation of Statist Thugs) I imagine sit back and laugh and call it ‘helpful.’
