SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Investigators found child pornography on Josh Powell's computer at least 17 months before he killed his children and himself, according to FBI documents.
Anne Bremner, an attorney for Susan Powell's parents, said the family was never told the FBI was investigating Josh Powell for child pornography. If the state of Washington's Department of Social and Health Services had known about the suspected child pornography, it "never would have let him have those kids," she said.
When a state worker delivered 7-year-old Charlie and 5-year-old Braden to Josh Powell's rented home in Graham, Washington, on Feb. 5, 2012, Josh Powell locked out the worker and ignited a fire that killed him and his sons.
Susan Powell, who was last seen at her West Valley City, Utah, home on Dec. 6, 2009, has never been found.

I suppose the wife’s parents would have a hard time suing the FBI with regard to the deaths of their grandsons?

Everywhere you turn people are dropping the ball. Incompetence seems to be at staggering levels these days. Just the other day I read a news story that was mind-boggling and heartbreaking. To make a long story short a 5 year old girl living on a military base was murdered by father and stepmother after being tortured and abused for months. But before this there were reports made by neighbors, school personnel, the natural mom, and someone sent to investigatge actually saw the little girl in poor condition. Nobody did a thing. The defense lawyer says the father has a low IQ he wouldn’t have the intellect to gauge what he did was wrong or some crap like that. And he was allowed to serve??

Online porn is an instrument of male suicide. Yet, there is no real discussion of just how destructive of families it is. “Porn stars” are heralded as celebrities. Endless jokes are made. But massive destruction is being wrought.

In Texas, the state regs handed down by the legisture state the goal is to reunite the family unit. Don't be too quick to judge CPS because most times CPS is forced to reunite too early and place children back into dangerous situations. CPS also has to follow judges' orders which, as we all know, can be wacked and in no way, shape, or form what any of the attorneys or CPS recommends - Heck, it doesn't matter the entire Mexican community is yelling in the courtroom not to send a sexually molested toddler back to the illegal alien home to be abused more or disappears into the night. Heck, throw dad in jail for not visiting kid. Heck, why would anyone not want a kid be in therapy with a therapist who is up on charges of child molestation. Heck, who cares if witnesses are telling how they knew the kid 5 years ago when the kid is 3. I was a CPS worker and could tell horror stories about passes for justice.
