Candy Crowley to McCain: Was Bergdahl “Less Worthy of Rescuing” Than You as a POW (Video)
Gateway Pundit | June 8 2014 | Rachel Pulaski

Posted on 06/08/2014 3:18:48 PM PDT by PoloSec

Today on CNN’s State of the Union, Candy Crowley compared former POW John McCain with the traitor and deserter Bowe Bergdahl.

She actually had the audacity to ask Sen. McCain if Bergdahl’s life was less worthy than his. While retelling the stories of Bergdahl’s desertion and conversion to Islam Crowley asked, “Does that make this young man less worthy of rescuing from his circumstances than the young John McCain as a POW?”

Via The Right Scoop:

Whatever you may think of McCain’s career as a Republican senator, it’s reprehensible to make a comparison between his captivity and Bergdahl’s desertion. When McCain was given the opportunity to leave the torture camp and go home in order to help his torturer’s propaganda campaign, he refused, saying he wouldn’t go unless every soldier captured before him were released as well. Meanwhile, six and possibly more soldiers died looking for Bergdahl after he walked out on them.

That Crowley would even dare ask such a question shows how little they understand or respect the military.

Don’t really care for McCain, but this is over the top.

To his eternal credit, John McCain flat refused multiple offers by the NV to release him from captivity and allow him to go home in order to provide a propaganda victory for the NV.

Unlike McCain and some of the other so called “R’s”, you wouldn’t catch me WATCHING a show of this caliber much less appear on it.

Isn’t that question worthy of just looking at her, shaking your head, take off the microphone and leave the set without saying a word?

Another reason that if one were to appear they should demand a copy of the entire uncut tape of the prerecorded show so they couldn’t ‘hide’ a scene such as above - OR have my own person recording it.

Can’t you just hear the LIVs? Yeah, how about that Mccain?

God has abandoned this country. It’s stupid beyond belief.

She must have had a few visits to the WH in recent days.

Really, what a despicable thing to say.

The cheapest of shots, the answer is obvious to everyone but she knows it is also a gotcha question to have to answer in a public interview, when it is about yourself versus the subject.

Whatever you think of McCain, he would never want his fellow soldiers and all Americans to be put at risk in order to be freed from enemy captivity.

What an ignoramus and bitch Crowley had to be to ask that. It wasn’t just McCain, but around 600 POWs who were released at the end of US military involvement and after the so-called Paris peach accords had been signed.

And I don’t recall hearing that any of the 600 or so US POWs in Vietnam just walked away from their duty stations and sought out the Viet Cong. I think there might have been one such case during the decade long US involvment where a few million US troops served (Garwood).

No comparison between the release of Vietnma POWs and the trading of five top level terrorists for the deserter Bergdahl.
