Perhaps you can provide us with some anecdotes of other owners showing the same type of behavior? After all, race horses spend most of their careers losing. There must be a plethora of examples.

People who compete at this level have usually paid their dues and know how difficult just having a horse worth running in this races is. I cannot think of another example anything like Coburn's blathering, and I have followed this game for more than 50 years.

Frankly, I can’t think of one example either, and I haven’t watched the sport for as long as you’ve enjoyed it, but I’ve seen a few.
