If I read this correctly, it is not a rechargeable battery. Variations of the non rechargeable aluminum air battery have been available for ages and do not really solve the electric car problem.

In fact I think I remember hearing the same story from an Israeli company about 10 years ago.

Now, if they develop a rechargeable aluminum battery, they will have a world changer.

A google search reveals the article I remember was in 2002 and they state they started building these batteries in 1994.

I wonder why this is hitting the media as a new thing?

If it was a 50 mile oval, you would win before you started.

Good point.

And speaking ovally - whatever happened to Ovaltine?

I used to love that stuff.

PowerPoints combined with spreadsheets have been known to actually suck the life right out of unsuspecting employees.

You're right. That certainly explains how they can power a car.

“Why do they call it Ovaltine? The mug is round. The jar is round. They should call it Roundtine.”

What’s your thought on Chili?

Isn’t chili just thick soup?

The definitive answer is found at weightloss.answers.com. To wit:
What is the Definition of Soup?
The definition of soup has many different versions, but the most agreed upon is that it is a liquid food of many kinds. It is often made by boiling meat and vegetables in water, and then seasoned with a strong broth. Given this specific definition, chili does not qualify as a soup. While there are many ways to make chili, none of them begin with boiling meat in water. Also, chili is not broth based, so it strikes out on two counts.
