The sketchy details surrounding the shooting in Las Vegas of two police officers as they ate pizza, gives me cause for grave concern. People armed with guns, killing cops and shouting “revolution” should always concern us, much as the Manson “Helter Skelter” murders concerned the country in 1969.
Because while some may say that the shooting is an isolated incident, I think it could be a trend if the country doesn’t draw away from the precipice from which we are currently perched. Like the Manson murders, the shooting represents in microcosm much of the action and reaction created by a decade of hate disguised as love.
I’m concerned of course for the families of the victims above all else. And I’m concerned for the city of Las Vegas, which is kind of a second home to me. I spent most of 2010 in Las Vegas educating voters about the issues important to conservatives.
So I know and love many people who call Las Vegas home.
But I’m concerned on another level for the country right now.
And if, as initial reports indicate, this was the work of white supremacists, I lay it off all on Obama. In fact, it almost doesn’t matter who it was shooting and shouting “revolution”—it could have been liberals from union local 1180-- somewhere down in there the motive drive at work was the worst, most divisive president we have ever had in this country.
That he’s a black man just makes matters even worse and more concerning.
Because we have come full circle in race relations where the party on the Left argues that their brand of racism is a positive good. Obama is their hero, their drummer and the chief propagandist of an ideology that counts color of skin over content of character.
And if there is a segment of the conservative movement that’s tinged by racism-- like every cross section of society-- then there is no part of the Democratic party that isn’t obsessed with it. Liberals have created a kind of segregation of thought and community that divides every American against our own house.
And race is just one component of this.
Class, gender, income, age, religion—all of the things we have been told shouldn’t matter at work, home or in the classroom—are the only things that seem to be of moment for progressives under Obama.
The guy who was going to lead us into the post-racial age, according to gushing predictions by the news media, is instead all-racial, all the time.
I don’t know that Obama hates white people, like some have claimed. But I certainly know this much: the man hates someone, a lot.
It would be hard to find a person who has benefited so much fro, the tolerance, good will and decency at the heart of America—as Obama has-- who has so much contempt for the things that make that tolerance, good will and decency possible.
And while Obama stokes the embers of racism, good people, black, white, brown, men, women and teenagers need jobs.
Obama could care less about jobs.
All he cares about is remaking America into something that he approves of and he’ll do it by force if he has to.
As a consequence, revolution is openly talked about in a way that would have been unthinkable twenty years ago. Revolution, as Americans distinctly and historically view it, is privately considered even by generous, just and sober people, and not just the people on the margins.
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, says our founding document, the Declaration of Independence, “pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security…. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.
This column has no room to submit to a candid world all the usurpations of Obama, but I do submit this one: Obama has usurped our God-given right to be what we want, through our own efforts, regardless of our race, creed, religion or gender. He has usurped, in other words, our “pursuit of happiness.”
And as long as that’s true, I expect killings like those in Las Vegas, Santa Monica, Colorado and the Navy Yard to continue. The killings will come from black and white, rich and poor, men and women, liberals and conservatives, as they have in the past.
It’s a kind of Helter Skelter, Obama style, after a decade of hate disguised as love.
America went from prejudiced against to prejudiced for blacks, never having stopped at the mid-point of eliminating prejudice.
I wouldn't put it past this government to incite or sponsor these types of lunatics to accomplish their end goals of disarming the american public.
I think one of the reasons that all of these nutcases are going off is certainly because of Obama and the tension and hostile environment he has created in this country. This is not only for nuts who have found an ideological “justification” in being white supremacists or environmentalists or whatever, but even people like the many recent homicidal young male psychotics who don’t appear to have a political agenda.
Believing that it benefits him personally and gives him power, Obama has created an environment of fear, suspicion and hostility. Crazy people are very much caught up in the psychodrama around them, since they have no fixed moral or social boundaries, and they’re responding exactly the way crazy people do: by acting out the madness. They feel that all restraints are off now.

That's what some in the press are trying to do to conservatives. Paint us with this broad brush of hatred.
The Southern Poverty Law Center - AND some extremest in the FBI have been pushing this story for over 18 years - - that right wingers were killing police officers to 'move up' in the vast right wing conspiracy.
It's always been a lie.
The problem extreme leftests had was there was NO proof behind their story. When police officers are murdered it's NOT a low profile occurrence. And the killers are usually found and the story's on the front page of the local papers. If right wingers were part of it - it would lead the story... as it has in this case.
So the lie about this happening everywhere has been easy to disprove - but now it appears the extreme left wing has one real case.
It's like Germans making a big deal out of a Jew being caught committing a crime vs a German being caught doing the same crime. The tactic tells us if we're dealing with totalitarians.
If this story develops legs, it's the proof - - we're living in a pre-totalitarin America.
Cops as we are constantly told in the media as being in such dangerous work (as an excuse to justify killing OTHER PEOPLE & DOGS) are nowhere near the top ten. As a matter of fact, the average factory worker is much more likely to be killed on the job than a cop of the local, state, or federal type.
No government workers, Homeland Security workers, FBI, ATF, are in the "Dangerous Line of Work" lists. That is not to lessen the horrible circumstances when it occurs, but it is not anywhere near the problem we are lectured as.
