Very doubtful that Trey Gowdy would have taken this make or break career assignment as Chairman of the committee unless there were witnesses willing to come forward and give blockbuster testimony. There are senior officers in the 6th fleet who were given a direct order to stand down.

I hope the Benghazi hearings turn up the truth better than the Waco hearings because with Waco all you have is lies.
The word is ‘just another hearing. There’s already been 12(or whatever the figure is). It’s all political.’
What needs to be pointed out by the repubs is the stonewalling, sidestepping, hiding of evidence that has been done in the past.
Without that clarification the hearings are going to be counterproductive.
