#17: Re ice sheets collapsing.

Solution:

Superglue and Duct Tape. Never fails.

No job to small. No job too big. Who you gonna call? Ice-fixers!

"... It won't work, though. For the technically inclined, there are always good and honorable ways around regulations to savings and personal and family independence."

.... Unfortunately ... the part about "It won't work" depends on what they are trying to get to work.

..... It's important to realize that the so called "Green" movement began to be infiltrated and eventually controlled back in the 70's when environmentalism began to be engaged with and eventually governed by the Marxist/Socialist movements around the world. It is now a controlling mechanism that has been set in place to pull strings and bring promised "Change" around the world for the good of the environment. Especially to countries that do not currently espouse the Marxist/Socialist philosophy and beliefs.

.... No ... this isn't your father's Green Movement .... it is something much more sinister than what it appears to be on the cleaner air/environmental surface.

I was trying to say that domestic competition and self-sufficiency won't be successfully outlawed for those with strong technical inclinations--those who really continue educating themselves and tinkering.

As for the green movement, I know what you mean by the change. It was once an idealist effort in agriculture. I've looked under the covers of the nasty contemporary efforts, though.

At both the federal and local levels, it's a collection of anti-competition political tactics perpetrated by influential, government-linked interests. They simply strive to outlaw productive work done by anyone but their own foreign slaves.

They don't care about the evironment. They're fakes. They only want to prevent Joe, the small shop man, from building his house, keeping his family whole or making anything useful. "Cottontail migration path," you know (actually heard that one from some hags in a local, yocal, Republican-Democrat socialist commissioners' meeting).

Meanwhile, they don't even have the technology to detect a better heating system designed by my kind of peasant trash, while their own smoke and heat signatures are outstanding. We're not as we appear to be. We are the "permaculture," and we're going to multiply like rabbits to spite them.

;-)

Visualize a very small, efficient house, heated by the sun, very little wood and the like. It doesn’t generate much in the way of revenues to regulators, does it. And a garden. The shop is in a temporary shelter during winter, if need be (permits, engineering required, taxes, etc.).

Many such people speak the contemporary “green” language of hooked up, global corporations in bed with socialist governments, but they are quite different. Many of them are not approved, certified, licensed or degreed, although some are (see so many engineers tossed into consulting for decades—big mistake irretrievably made by the influential).

Oh, yeah, that’s all good for the environment, but that’s not what it’s all about. During this strange time, the way described above is a very conservative way for many. Many of the young lefties of a decade back, eager to learn like growing children then, have already been assimilated into practical reality. Some of them are farmers, fly-by-night contractors, tiny manufacturers and the like. They pay their taxes but don’t cotton to anyone trying stop them from staying alive.

Those changes are difficult to see from any lofty height, where benefits of frivolous desire are believed to be needs (today’s leadership).

I have no doubt that there were lying and questionable statistics involved, but I’d like to see exactly what they were. Just saying that the EPA was caught in lies without telling what the lies were is not very convincing.
