Loot $429m from City's Central Bank to Make Isis World's Richest Terror Force

The Islamic State of Iraq and al-Shams (Isis) has become the richest terror group ever after looting 500 billion Iraqi dinars - the equivalent of $429m (£256m) - from Mosul's central bank, according to the regional governor.

Nineveh governor Atheel al-Nujaifi confirmed Kurdish televison reports that Isis militants had stolen millions from numerous banks across Mosul. A large quantity of gold bullion is also believed to have been stolen.

Following the siege of the country's second city, the bounty collected by the group has left it richer than al-Qaeda itself and as wealthy as small nations such as Tonga, Kiribati, the Marshall Islands and the Falkland Islands.

I’d say the biggest looting of a Treasury has occurred under Obama. You can start with Porkulus, which raised the baseline budget by nearly $1 Trillion, and work your way down to the inside, no-bid, money sinks of Solyndra and the Obamacare websites, which are in the several hundred million to billion dollar range.

After the attack in Benghazi, Obama shipped American weapons, armored vehicles and night vision equipment to Libya where he left it unguarded and it was “stolen”.

Which will be a mistake that will come back to bite the US in the future. Thing is, ISIS (or ISIL since that seems to be the new name taking root) is not your usual Qaeda offshoot. These guys are very professional and technically very capable. A good example is that prison break they did where they broke out a couple hundred prisoners from Abu Ghraib.

Assad is a monster, but he is a cuddly cherub compared to these guys.
