David Brat, the Virginia Republican who shocked House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R., Va.) Tuesday, wrote in 2011 that Hitlers rise could all happen again, quite easily.
Mr. Brats remarks, in a 2011 issue of Interpretation: A Journal of Bible and Theology, came three years before he defeated the only Jewish Republican in Congress.

As Ace from Ace of Spades blog explains,
"They're suggesting Brat is pro-Hitler? How else can one read their noting that Brat said that Hitler could rise again, and then mention that in reference to the defeat of the GOP's only Jewish Congressmen as if they're linked?"
Ace continues --
Brat is "upset by the fact that Christians (and Americans, generally, I think he'd say) are too "morally weak" to stand firm in the face of Hitlerian evil -- and urges them to be more resolute against a New Hitler"
Here is what the author neglected to quote:
"Capitalism is here to stay, and we need a church model that corresponds to that reality. Read Nietzsche. Nietzsches diagnosis of the weak modern Christian democratic man was spot on. Jesus was a great man. Jesus said he was the Son of God. Jesus made things happen. Jesus had faith. Jesus actually made people better. Then came the Christians. What happened? What went wrong? We appear to be a bit passive. Hitler came along, and he did not meet with unified resistance. I have the sinking feeling that it could all happen again, quite easily. The church should rise up higher than Nietzsche could see and prove him wrong. We should love our neighbor so much that we actually believe in right and wrong, and do something about it. If we all did the right thing and had the guts to spread the word, we would not need the government to backstop every action we take."

The Destruction begins.
That’s Destruction with a Capital D.
Sooo?
First off, Hitler HAS re-happened in this World multiple times already. Second, of course it can happen anywhere!
This is controversial??
Hitlers Rise Could All Happen Again
Could?
Of course we are too morally weak to stop Hitler!
We only joined the fight after we got attacked at Pearl Harbor.
And look what is happening in Iraq now, look what we allowed to happen in Vietnam, look at China, look at genocide in Africa!
Duh.
America is living in a real fantasy bubble these days. Reality is passing us by.
So we can’t criticize O because he’s black and we can’t run against a Jew???
I didn’t even know Cantor was a Jew until I read this post.
What the hell is going on?
.
the left is evil. The GOP party idiots aren’t much better.
We’re in deep doo doo.
A perfect description of the desperate economic destruction that led to the rise of hitler can be found in this first segment of this documentary.

Hitler also promised to restore Germany’s stature in the world and the world love him for it......for a while.
Not to me. Evil men rise up time and again and murder those it sees as not fitting into their plans. Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Castro are just a few in the last 80 years.
Anyone that can't see that is completely delusional. And anyone that can't see he is right is completely clueless.
Saddam was a modern-day Hitler. His mentor even attempted a pro-Nazi coup in Iraq.
The Media is truly the Voice of Satan.
The quotes are refreshing - I also believe in unabashed muscular Christianity. A political life is for resolute men, ideally they should be at the forefront of any worthwhile political force. Dictatorships are formed not by resolute men, but by fearful and morally corrupt weaklings - favorites one day and dead the next.
The WSJ has always been our worst enemy.
The more I read of Brat, the more I like.
Cantor is a Jew? That’s news to me.
I guess you’re not Jewish,
It’s a process of baby steps. In this country, we’re past the baby steps stage, and are now skipping towards a Fourth Reich.
Why would anyone think the religion of the other candidate is relevant in modern American politics? Does anyone seriously think that the Republican voters in Virginia who have supported Rep. Cantor for many years suddenly decided they are anti-Semitic and refused to vote for him? Or that they should have kept him in office even though they disagreed with his actions just because of his religion?
The media types circulating such a noxious idea should be ashamed of themselves.
No, being raised in the South, I don’t have ‘Jew-dar’.
The Left Media hates Jews, hated Cantor before he got creamed. Now all of a sudden the guy who beat him is anti-Semitic because he’s a Christian? Just like heterosexuals are all homophobes because we’re heterosexual, I guess. My God, these people make me sick.
