Agreed. I remember saying back in 2008 - are they kidding? Nobody in their right mind is going to vote for someone with THAT name. I would have listened to you!
The only reason the name was not all the tipoff needed is that decades had been spent creating the meme of political correctness and it has been so successfful that now anyone who admits to seeing the obvious is condemned as a racist, homophobe, whatever. The emperor actually is naked but no one is considered pure in heart now so anyone who sees it must be evil. The world is upside down and bass ackwards.
