And yesterday, Obama was at a high school graduation. The man is clueless. The Democrats are clueless. Obama thinks Jordan is a basketball player.

If the map is accurate it would look like Baghdad could be surrounded pretty easily from the N, S, and E.

LOL...we supported ISIS in Syria via the FSA...I doubt he uh wants to make that known at this point in time....lol
Also he is hogtied by Assad already sending support and Iran as well voicing solidarity.
This is so over his head now he is the weakest link. We can not do anything without being seen as the issue.
Sad fact it is,,to physically realize what his lunacy has wrought.

Those are new, late model trucks most of the same make and model.
Someone is spending some bucks to equip these guys as an army

The Iraqi government is asking for air support, and Iran is getting involved. I guess if Iran asked, Obama might do something. Otherwise, he is seriously conflicted here.

Obama’s entire regime is staffed with Islamo-Marxists hell bent on taking down our closest allies and the USA itself.

Clueless, perhaps. He is responsible for the release from GITMO in 2009 the current poster boy of ISIS/ISIL.

For Jordan to fall would be the beginning of the end for Israel. Jordan is the most rational neighbor they have.
Actually, it would be the beginning of the end of ISIS. In the past, Israel has pledged (unsolicited) to defend Jordan from Syria invasion. So I believe an actual ISIS attack on that country would invite massive air strikes by the Israeli Air Force and possibly even ground forces to wipe out ISIS.

Can you imagine a scenario in which the Sunni caliphate is at war with Iran and Israel at the same time? That would be beyond strange.

"we supported ISIS in Syria via the FSA" Yes I find it curious that these guys are freedom fighters in Syria but terrorists in Iraq. These are the people we are arming and the ones John McCain meet with a few months back. Totally clueless leadership in DC.

The real problem for Jordan would come from inside the country.

My head is spinning. Israel is pledged to defend Jordan, and I agree it's finally a fight they can't avoid. But the troops they'd be fighting are the ones who were fighting Assad, and Israel doesn't want Assad in power, do they? So will you have a weird situation where Israel, Assad, Iran, the sane part of Iraq, and even Turkey would have to put their hostilities on hold and defeat the US and Saudi proxies (ISIS) in Syria from destroying other countries?
Could an outcome of this be nobody will want US "help" anymore?

On a spiritual note...steeped in the ISIS drive is their belief that they must prepare for the Final Caliph. A position that dovetails not only with the Sh’ite belief in the 12th Iman but the fact they believe that Jesus will be the bringer of end times meshes completely with Christian’s Revelations and in ways the Jewish prophets.
Amazing stuff and one does not need tinfoil for.
