WTF is this? It must have been a joke, but still it’s a very strange joke for a U.S. Senator to be telling on the campaign trail.
I think that the heavy workload and passage of time has gotten to Thad Cochran and that he needs to return to his estate and get some rest. It’s a very sad ending to an otherwise distinguished career. I think he’s a good man who’s served with honor but failed to see that it was time to step aside and let someone else take up the good fight. If only he had left office voluntarily.
I don’t think he still has an estate....Just a ‘rented room.
He may have meant it as a joke, but it seems like he was unintentionally revealing.
Thad Cochran stepped aside long ago.
His aides have been running the show in the shadows since at least his last election.
Thats why there is so much bitter resistance to allowing him to retire. There are a lot of people with vested interests who are playing de facto Senator of Missouri with Cochran acting as their front man

Even if the impact of this is minor, that be could enough to ensure he goes down, I hope so.
