The Pentagon Thursday said Islamic militants in Iraq might have captured U.S. equipment and vehicles as an al-Qaeda linked group advanced toward Baghdad.
Members of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), which has seized control of two major cities, have been posting pictures on Twitter, claiming to have taken equipment given or sold by the U.S. to the Iraqi army.
ADVERTISEMENT A defense official said claims the group had captured a U.S. Army Blackhawk helicopter were wrong, but that Humvees and armored vehicles might have fallen into the militants' hands.
"I don't have any indication that the reports of them getting Humvees from Mosul are false," said the official.
"It's something that we are consulting the Iraqi government on, as part of our overall consultations with them to get a clear picture of what's happening," the official added.

There would seem to be no leadership in the middle east which is against these fanatics. Maybe Eqypt, Saudi or Syria? But they won’t help much outside of their own country.
The second I read the headline, I thought “cover story for benghazi” since said weapons will get “mixed-in” and difficult or impossible to trace back to hussein.

Thousands of American fighting men and women perish in both wars and then the cowardly government gives up and goes home. Only problem is that they left thousands dead. Another problem is that those people over there didn’t want us in the first place.....we had to “save the children” so to speak with the blood of our military wasted and pissed to the wind.
We need to protect AMERICA and gird our loins in preparation of the total swarm and invasion by the barbarians to the south.

That would be the Obama chickens. We had actually won the war and were stabilizing the country until Obama and the Cindy Sheehan wing got into power. It was the retreat that did us in, not the victory or even the war.
It’s true, though, after WWII we were happy with standoffs. However, this wasn’t even a standoff. We had won and most Iraqis were very happy about it. And then Bambi gave the store away to AQ (under whatever acronym you wish to use).
It all makes me feel utterly helpless to save our country...when you have half the Americans not giving a da@mn about America, its just hopeless.

Has anyone considered that perhaps Obama was sandbagged in Syria. Responding to ever more requests for arms, training and yes money that was stockpiled by the rebels for this ISIS/ISIL operation...???
