The conservative GOP coalition in the house does have power but not control. They can and have influenced legislation.

Would that be the impeachment legislation? Oh wait, that won't happen. Would it be the Holder impeachment legislation? Oh wait, that hasn't/won't happen either. Lots of nice calls for investigations and such, though, you know, things we don't have time for anymore, and in most cases, are moot points. The left has ramped up their efforts to destroy the Constitution. The right - even the "Conservative" right, has ramped up efforts at licking obama's boots. At this point, the one and only thing the GOPe will listed to is the sounds of our boots as we walk away. Again, the sooner we ALL realize it, the better off we'll be. Otherwise, we're going to continue down the Boehner-Cantor-McCarthy road. If you are happy with that, you're part of the problem.

Many here always forget that politics is the art of the possible.

That which is possible can be done
