I’ll be cheering for Labrador.
But my money will be on the RINO...
Yeah, baby! Raul has impressed me since his election in 2010.
The vote is private, but the outcome is preordained after they whip the vote.
I hope Labrador can still win, but I have my doubts.
Don’t get too excited guys. Another Chamber of Commerce crony Republican happy to provide businesses with cheap foreign labor. From his website:
“Guest workers are vital to keep industries in America, and particularly in Idaho, competitive internationally. By providing a legal avenue for foreign workers to enter the United States, a guest worker program is critical to secure the border and eliminate illegal immigration.”
Win or lose, a little saber-rattling in McCarthy’s home district about his next re-election would be appropriate about now.
We should be whipping too.
” To the Honorable Representative ______, There will be a secret vote for Majority Leader and I will expect you to vote for the Honorable Raul Labrador.
If he does not win I must assume you did not support him and you do not represent me or deserve my support.
Respectfully, ______” .. or the like.
But I don’t think him winning will help unless Boehner took the vote for what it is: a “no confidence” vote on him, and resigned.
Be fun though!
McCarthy is more liberal than Cantor, who got his butt whooped. Could the establishment be any more tone deaf?
Shocked /s
controlled opposition, a sop tossed out to appease tea partiers
Maybe Labrador will be the Brat of the Summer and tip their Rino canoe over the falls.
McCarthy is in CA, he has no worries about a challenge from the right.
The worst possible choice.
Yes: He ran as opposed to amnesty, joined the Gang of 8, saw it was falling apart, and is now opposed to amnesty again. The guy makes more waffles than Eggo.
Zactly! Fight, push, make allies.
It looks like we have a dog in the race. I hope he can hunt. :)
This is good. I hope he can pull off an upset win.
The GOP moderates who run and support the liberal Republican House Leadership covet their power, prestige, and influence, and hence, they are sharpening their long knives for any Reagan Conservative or TeaParty Folk that dares threaten or challenge their monopoly of power over the House GOP Caucus. This leadership challenge could be a twenty-first century rendition of the 1982 movie “Eating Raoul,” given these establishment types are licking their wounds from the defeat of their brother-in-arms, Eric Cantor by a real Republican. So they’re in a feeding frenzy, ready to eat Raul and his labrador.
Excellent!
And
NO it is NOT “too late”!!
