That road down south of Dora is the divider of a major “sectarian fault line” as the COIN folks called it. North side is Shia, south side is AQI-heavy Sunni. I played in Dora for many months, and that place is the Wild West. Parts of it closely resemble Beirut in the ‘80s.

JAM (Jaysh Al Mahdi) will defend Sadr City and the surrounding area pretty well. There are a lot of them, they’re everywhere, and they HATE Sunnis.

F, that was one of my former bases.

I’m glad Balad is holding. That’d be a great place for air assets. It’s a huge base.

Who did that map ? Taji north of Baghdad has US contractors there working at a tank training grounds. That map claims it was taken ?
