Iraq: A Sunni-Shia Holy War To Commence In Baghdad?
Breitbart ^ | 13 Jun 2014 | by JORDAN SCHACHTEL

Baghdad looks to be the first place where Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) fighters meet serious resistance on their blitzkrieg through Iraq.

However, this has not stopped the Al Qaeda splinter group’s forces from announcing their intended goals. In a video publicly released Thursday night, the jihadi fighters were seen shouting, “Towards Baghdad!”

ISIL’s Twitter page said the group had executed 1,700 Shia Iraqi soldiers as of late Thursday. The group’s social media page proudly displayed an image of a decapitated head, tweeting, “this is our football” with the hashtag #WorldCup.

Iraq’s Grand Ayatollah Ali Al-Sistani, the country’s most senior Shia cleric, called upon his fellow Shiites to take up arms and defend Baghdad from the Sunni ISIL insurgents. "Citizens who are able to bear arms and fight terrorists, defending their country and their people and their holy places, should volunteer and join the security forces to achieve this holy purpose," said Sistani’s spokesman during Friday prayers.

Iran Revolutionary Guard soldiers and their Quds special forces unit have reportedly moved into Iraq, readying their troops to defend the pro-Iranian government of Shia Prime Minister Maliki against the Sunni ISIL terrorist group.

The problem with all of this is that some seriously fanatical jihadists now have or are acquiring war assets and money to do their evil against the US and Israel...and they WILL act. Their time is now.

Remember...

Obama and McCain are the two biggest advocates of equipping and training Syrian rebels. Those weapons and that training are now at work in Iraq. Oopse!

Not a story though: left wing media won’t criticize Obama; and, right wing media won’t criticize McCain.

Giant farse is what we’re watching.

Iran might surprise everyone, allow Iraq to fall, and agree to co-rule with ISIS, Sunnis, to establish the Caliphate first, combat the US and Israel, and then settle their historic differences. After all, Iraqi Arab Shiites are inferior to Persian Shiites in Iran’s eyes. The US, in continual, behind the scenes, “conversation” could potentially have accepted the idea of a Caliphate if established and to recognize it with a diplomatic mission to it rather than fight it. Obama has publicly stated he is not, and will not war with Islam although Islam wars with the US. Is “Peace” to be accomplished in an Islamic manner? It is a definite worry the way things are shaping up.

Obama will not attack ISIS in Syria as it is deposing a bad Muslim dictator who protects Christians and Jews, and wars on Sunnis who war on him. He will not attack ISIS in Syria at all.

While Barry has decided to think about what to do in Iraq for a “few days”, planning to golf and fund raise, Baghdad will fall and that will be enough for him to wash his hands of the “whole affair”, which will legitimize the establishment of a Caliphate. A Caliphate is the Muslim Command and Control Vehicle for JIHAD and the application of war practices in the Mohammadan fashion as demonstrated with the rolling heads in Iraq right now.

The Iraqi AF is evacuating as many US contractors and civilians as possible. There is no Barry conceived “American Dunkirk” operation of US airliners,etc. Barry is thinking about fund raising, golfing and Iraq, and who knows what. He is AWOL and may be committing a “Bergdahl” himself.

As Col. Ralph Peters on Fox news stated, the most historic Islamic advance since the eleventh centure is taking place. Is Barry thinking..”How can I prevent the Iraq crisis from going to waste?” Apparently so.

I think Iran’s military is just as useless as Iraq’s is

This is a good opportunity for us to see whether that's the case.

Russia will sit back and watch, and then when the smoke clears, invade to protect their vital interests. The US will respond with a sternly worded letter.

It’s insane for Obama to fiddle away the first several days of the ISIS invasion of Iraq. The best chance to inflict damage on ISIS forces was to launch air stricks as their pickup truck convoys moved around the country. By the time Bozo decides to do anything, if ever, ISIS forces will be in heavily populated Baghdad where air strikes would cause far more collatteral damage.

He’s fiddling away our best chance to inflict damage by air, but it sounds like Iran is coming to the rescue.

Fill up your vehicle fuel tank and any empty gas cans you have laying around.

If/when Baghdad falls oil prices will head up, up, and up.

An antiwar.com article claims an Iranian General is in charge of the defense of Baghdad.

Apparently, Shiia and Sunni are merging as we speak, creating the Caliphate we’ve always wondered about.

Baghdad will not fall; it will succumb and then the Arab Spring really happens?

Why else is everything melting in front of ISIS/ISIL as it threatens?

A potential Baghdad-grad. I wonder if Iran won’t come in to sweep up the Shi-ite portion of Iraq for a Greater Iran.

Bizarre that both Israel and Iran could end up in a tacit alliance here.

I am curious about the quality of Iran’s army. Are their ‘elite’ guards of decent quality or are they parade and oppression ornaments? I doubt they would meet the standards of ‘elite’ in the developed world, but every once in a while things like the Golden Horde pop up.

ISIL is Sunni (B), the government of Iraq is Shia, the “solders” are also Sunni (A & B) and like many entering our military today, never intended to fight: simply consume the benefits. (Not a stab at the military here; it is a reflection of our society as a whole.)

A = House Saud
B = Overthrow House Saud.

Then you have the Kurds and others.
