On Thursday evening, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer asked Congress to end the "intentional and unconscionable" humanitarian crisis at the border that the Obama administration has created and ignored.
In a letter to House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), Brewer mentioned that illegal immigrants are actually flagging down border patrol agents so they can enter the United States, where the Obama administration has led them to believe they will receive amnesty. She said it was also their responsibility to do something about the crisis at the border.
"As congressional leaders, you have the ability to take action, get answers and stop the lawlessness that is unfolding. On behalf of the State of Arizona, I ask you to do so," she said. "I urge you to use your voice, and the authority of your offices and the institutions you lead, to immediately and permanently terminate this atrocious policy and stop this massive, unfettered influx of illegal crossings into our country."
Brewer said that the federal government's "primary and fundamental responsibility" is "protecting our nation and its citizens," "but it cannot be done as long as we have an unsecured border and a federal executive that invites and encourages illegal activity."

God help us !
Pound salt Brewer. You sided with Barry when it mattered. So sit in a corner and cry.
Hussein is in California playing golf at the most expensive place in the state. He could care less about the 3rd world people he’s letting in.
Hey Jan, maybe if you say pretty please with sugar on top..
She’s just bloviating, I’m sure there are actions she can take on her own. A whinny letter not going to do anything.
The crises benefits Obama, why would he solve it?
Brewer knows full well Bonehead and the GOP will do nothing.
Why don’t you send out your National Guard Brewer?
What do you have in mind? If you were governor, what would you do?
Exactly. It’s your damn state, governor. You’re supposed to protect and defend it. Arm the border.
In order to be "UNSCIONABLE" , first you have to have a "CONSCIENCE"
I have seen no such thing from this administration .
Ooh baby, a terse letter. We have no leaders with cajones.
As Governor you have the ability to protect your state, Brewer.
DO IT.
The Feds claimed to be overwhelmed, so she has a golden opportunity to impose control over the situation at the state level. Force Obama’s hand and make him out as the monster he is for creating this crisis. Instead, Jan sends a strongly worded letter that will be ignored.
“UNSCIONABLE” should be ‘UNCONSCIONABLE’
jan got compromised a while back. she has been no help against domestic enemies.
Good idea!
Get Greta to interview her. She loves the spotlight. That will get her granny panties in a bunch and she just might bluff her way into protecting us.
1996 Congress passed a law Title 8 Section 1103 of the US code to use our state sheriff and police force to rebuff the boatlift of the 1990’s.

Dispatch the friggin' Guard or County Sheriff's Deputies!
Hey Jan, you CAUSED this problem by caving when you had a chance to stand strong. So stop whining and DO SOMETHING....like jail anyone who obeys orders to keep kids in those conditions.
Yet another example of electing ‘lesser evils’. this is what you get when the SHTF folks. Take a good look and remember come election day.
Because it isn’t a Democrat REFUSING to use their power to the fullest and stop this mess. It is a RINO writing cute little letters to other RINOS on record as being FOR THIS MESS.
Maybe the AZ taxpayers can put them up in the Hilton or Marriott.
Give them free room service, and an open bar.
