Schubert: "Night Brightness"This is one of the greatest of all Schubert works for chorus, to include a prominent part for "damnably high tenor." The climax at 2:35 is a primal scream set to music, and after the climax Schubert spends the rest of the song taking the musical universe apart and putting it back together in different combinations like a young god.
Don't be put off by the fact that it's by the Los Angeles Gay Men's Chorus because this is a glorious performance.

Good evening, Luv!
*HUGS*
Until they all come home!
After the events and revelations of the last few days I am absolutely sick at heart. Our Gallant Troops, as they have done since the beginning of our Republic, have acquitted themselves in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan with great skill, with professionalism and with Valor.
I refuse to apply the phrase "Honor and Distinction" to them. They as all of us, have no difficulty detecting da stink of the the perfumed princes and their mouthpieces walking the Halls of Power in Washington.
I know honorable service when I see it - I saw it in many of the men and women who served with me almost a half-century ago.
I, like they, served honorably. I reserve the term "Distinction" for those who went above and beyond the call of duty, because most of the guys I knew in 'Nam served with Valor - it was what they were trained to do and what they had in their hearts.
Those who stood for us in Iraq served valiantly, under draconian ROE's. They all served with Honor - many with "Distinction." They secured Victory in Iraq against heavy odds. That Victory has been snatched from them, and from us, by the feckless, cowardly, and treasonous foreign policy of the Obama Regime.
When will the American people wake up? It's later than they think!

O stranger, tell the Lacedaemonians that we lie here, obedient to their command.
