Naral (nation abortion rights action league) gives Mitch McConnell a 0% rating. His entire career, given all his other faults, is pro-life.
To knowlingly put in a known late term abortion supporter would be a violation of everything a conservative has ever believed.
Besides, how many US Senate seats can we give up and still have a republican majority? Last I heard, we need 6 and 6 is going to be hard to get. Let McConnell lose, and we’ll need 7. Where is that 7th coming from?
(LiveActionNews) There has been some confusion recently regarding Kentucky U.S. Senate hopeful Alison Lundergan Grimes and her views on late-term abortion. Lundergan Grimes is endorsed by EMILYs List, which ignite[s] change by getting pro-choice Democratic women elected to office. Karen Cross, the political director for National Right to Life, warns however, just how extreme EMILYs List is:
EMILYs List is a radical pro-abortion group which supports Democratic women candidates who support abortion on demand, partial-birth abortion and using your tax dollars to pay for abortion.
Those ratings are virtually meaningless. The most damage elected official do is not in votes anyway.
Look at Orin Hatch. He supposedly had a good pro-life rating, yet he did more to help abortion than any of the Democrat Senators. He made a deal with the Democrats that all their pro-abortion Supreme Court nominees would be rubber stamped, but any pro-life nominees specifically would have a higher bar.
As the head of the Senate Judiciary Committee from 1995-2005 he deliberately stuffed the courts with rabidly pro-abortion judges. The pro-abortion groups actually laugh at us, because they know what he did for their side and we were supporting him. But go ahead, trumpet, his 0% NARAL rating.
By the way, you are a pro-lifer and you quote NARAL and put your faith in their honesty. Makes a lot of sense.
