Teacher says cop choked, pepper-sprayed her in front of students
Toronto Sun ^ | June 13, 2014 | CAMILLE LAURIN-DESJARDINS, QMI AGENCY

MONTREAL -- Montreal police are examining a primary-school teacher's claim that an officer choked and pepper-sprayed her in front of students and parents at their year-end party.

Nadia Lessard tells QMI Agency that she and the school janitor were victims of "gratuitous violence" at the hands of a burly city constable Wednesday afternoon.

Lessard says she was standing outside the school building with janitor Carl Cadieux at about 5 p.m. when a police car crossed through an intersection, on a red light, without his flashers.

Lessard says Cadieux shouted to the officer "hey my friend, you burned the red without your lights on," prompting the officer to pull a U-turn and stop right in front of them.

Lessard claims the officer replied "What did you say, you little f---ing loudmouth?"

Things quickly degenerated, says Lessard, when the janitor whipped out his cell phone to film the confrontation.

She claims the officer grabbed the janitor's arm and "slammed his head on the car three times."

When she shouted at the officer to let Cadieux go, and touched his forearm, she says he grabbed her by the throat and pepper-sprayed her in the eyes as students and parents watched.

Lessard and Cadieux were arrested and charged with obstructing a peace officer.

Montreal police spokesman Ian Lafreniere says he hasn't verified Lessard's story.

"We want to meet all the police officers who were present at the scene, as well as witnesses," he said.

You’d be pissed too if you were unecessarily delayed from a batch of fresh donuts.

Hubby and I took a trip to Niagara Falls five years ago. EGAD! Those Canadian shop
keepers are chauvinistic, superior, and just as rude and condescending as they can be.

The best defense is to ignore their extreme rudeness, smile, and walk away, preferably
not purchasing anything from them. We did not meet a single polite or friendly person.

We did the tour and the Maid of the Mist, and then we left. ‘Twas very disappointing,
but the horrible people did not spoil the beauty and magnificence of the Falls.

At least we got to enjoy that.

Niagara Falls is not the best example of Canadian hospitality. The entire town is a tourist trap and they have attitudes to match.

It doesn’t mean that, or they wouldn’t moan so much today, and think that the entire country owes them. It means I remember. Although they don’t remember squat apparently, because they surrendered unconditionally on the plains of Abraham. They were allowed to stay and keep their customs, but had to live under British law, apparently that wasn’t good enough. France didn’t want them back, the English did them a huge favour. Fast forward to today, and we’re still paying for that mistake.

If this story is true about this cop and what he did, I’d say throw him in jail for a least a 10 year stint to cool off.

Next time you folks come to Canada, don’t go to the liberal cesspools, head out west and you’ll see some true hospitality.

However, there still are some ignorant Canadians who can’t stand Americans, but I correct them when I see that happening.

Everytime I see an American license plate from whatever state I always ask them if they voted for Obama. I haven’t had a yes yet, so then I always say “well then, welcome to Alberta.” heh.

Sounds like a genuine learning experience to me. What with school admin so firmly in the hands of the left, all the kids get most days is tutored to have an orgasm at the mere thought of government, or better yet, more government. This provides necessary equal time (complete with a demonstration). 30 brand new libertarians were born today. (Not trashing the teacher per se, she may very well be a perfectly rational person, just opining on the way schools are run these days.)

We both voted for Palin and then Romney.

We have never voted for the demonrat. We had their number when we were in our early 20s.

The French did not surrender unconditionally after the Plains of Abraham. The French beat and kept the English contained in the city of Quebec and awaited reinforcement from France. The reinforcement fleet was destroyed , off the coast of France , by the English navy . The English received reinforcement in the spring of 1760 which lead to the Treaty of Paris in 1763 between England, France and Spain.

‘Twas very disappointing, but the horrible people did not spoil the beauty and magnificence of the Falls.

About 30 years ago I made my first trip to the U.S. I was driving a car carrier at the time and was bound for Dearborn MI. Because of the height of our loads, we couldn't take the expressways through Detroit, so we had to drive through some of the worst parts of that city to get to Dearborn. I don't recall thinking that all of the United States must be like this.

Since then, I have worked in 24 states and have met some terrific people. It didn't take me long to forget my first impression of your country.
