Perhaps - but 51 GOP votes in the Senate is not enough. Removal from office requires 2/3 of the Senate - 66 votes.

Even on a good day, the GOP cannot get there. Anyway, that is obviously racist so why bother. Previously Vacant Lott showed the way and Henry Hyde's flag fell to the ground where it has remained.

Whether communists or not, be more fearful of the President's ability to pardon - absolute and without question. Recall klintoon and Marc Rich, for example. That, today, is comparatively small-change.
