In an email this evening, a veteran publishing source calls the latest Hillary Clinton book, Hard Choices, a memoir of her State Department years, a "bomb." The source is referring to the early but underwhelming sales figures.
"Between us, they are nervous at S&S [Simon & Schuster]," says the source, who gave permission for his email to be published. "Sales were well below expectations and the media was a disaster."
According to this source, a Simon & Schuster insider, "They sold 60,000 hard covers first week and 24,000 ebooks." The publishing house was "hoping and praying for 150,000 print first week."

You really want to hear something funny, listen to exerpts from the audio book. Read by Shillery herself it’s as if she’s reading them for the first time and has the most monotone robotic delivery, as if Siri was reading them....
And libraries will be forced to buy more than 1 copy.

Was just at a Barnes & noble a few hours ago in Paramus NJ, and the book is displayed prominently just inside the front door, all copies bearing the 30% off sticker.Yes, the media done for the book was bad, aided tremendously by Hillary’s petulant, defensive, touchiness with the interviewers I saw.

Ted Olson’s wife died in the plane from Newark that hit the second tower i believe.
This was a campaign contribution. They are expecting some favor in return for their generous advance contribution to her election campaign.
Nobody will read this book. I doubt if her editor got through it.

Barbara Olson was a passenger on AA 77 from Dulles to LAX, which crashed into the Pentagon.
