They will do whatever it takes to solve a crime the way they want to solve it, said the former officer. If you complain and tell the truth against the culture youre retaliated against. If youre asked questions and if youre caught at something you deny, deny, deny."

This case should have been handed over immediately to the state AG or somebody like that.
A neighbor told the investigating officer he heard the alleged perp confess. That info was not in the report.
It has been scary for a long time. The toughest cases in domestic violence have been cases against LEOs. Even in conferences with experts they are stumped on how to deal with a DV LEO. LEOs have connections and databases and know others that do also. Some DV LEO spouses have to go into witness protection. I kid you not.
they cover each other, and lie. LEOs are not divorcable unless they agree. Some gang up on the spouse, file false reports and intimidate.
This is not a new issue. There are many trapped LEO spouses.
Life in prison should be appropriate for any and all officers involved. A violation of the public trust should carry an extreme punishment. A public flogging, loss of pension, and life in prison. the only blue line the pigs should have is the one used to hang corrupt officers and their enablers
A movie was made about this story.
I would settle for criminal charges and a jury trial.
This assumption is over. The only way to correct this is to convince the lying government that if they are caught, they and all of their relatives and family will die screaming.
Our Constitution is for a moral and religious people, and is unsuitable for any other.
That's a complete joke. I spent 25 years as a fed LEO and almost everyone I knew was divorced at least once, including me. LEOs have divorce rates well above the national average, it just comes with the job.
As for covering for a wife beater, not in my agency. Such people were considered low life's and no one would work with them.
If you are an LEO the mere allegation of domestic violence will get you pulled off duty immediately, as you can not posses a firearm until you prove your innocence.
If anything of this sort had happen, that Officer would have been in Jail before the Sun went down.

Not every LEO by far.
But when DV happens it is difficult to combat with LEOs.
I wonder why she thought she had to kill him.
You are right LEOs have high divorce rates. however if an abused woman wants a divorce and LEO doesn’t, there is hell to pay.
