She could buy a book about it at lots of different stores. Many cookbooks have helpful hints and overview of nutrition.
Of course, you would have to want to feed the kids better and want to take the time to buy a cookbook and look some stuff up.
Stories like this make me appreciate my mom, grandmas, mother in laws and church ladies! Networking!

I was under the impression that she received a Juris Doctor degree. Do colleges and universities now really offer academic degree programs in “Harvard?”
I guess it’s an aeronautics degree in the T-6 Texan trainer aircraft, which the British of course call the “North American Harvard.”
They don't teach basic living skills or common sense at Ivy League University. In fact, if you possess common sense when you enter an Ivy League University, you will no longer have it when they hand you a diploma.
I'm not sure how you cook a Harvard Degree to make it nutritious. It's sheepskin but then with all that ink on it, no matter how it is prepared, it probably doesn't taste too good to a young child. Maybe if you coated it in honey before feeding it to them.
How hard is it really, to make a salad, cook a green vegetable and a protein like chicken? Unreal. Sometimes my mother would give a treat and include mac and cheese along with the meal. Or fruit cocktail for dessert. That was always a treat.
An affirmative action degree, Harvard or otherwise, does not confer common sense nor practical competency, Mooch.
Just because she’s too stupid to know how to feed her kids, she thinks everyone else is, too. Sorry, Mooch, most of us know how to do it, so butt out.
Well you would think that in all that time in college, she might have picked up a few skills along the way. And what did her mama teach her or not teach her?
She isn’t saying they didn’t have the money to feed the kids, she is saying that, because they both worked, she was feeding them junk food to save herself time. If she had just quit being selfish and made sure one parent was around to prepare meals, it wouldn’t have been an issue.

I guess what she was saying was that if someone as smart as herself doesn't know about nutrition, then how can the bumpkins in flyover country be expected to know about nutrition. Since they are predominately white and clingers, then they never went to Princeton and Harvard.

Sounds pretty lame. What happened to the ways of the struggling blacks who new how to cook nutritious meals from what was on hand. Andrew Zimmern has a bunch of shows showing how the early negro improvised.
