I wonder if Honduras, Salvadorans, Panamanians, etc. crossing the southern border of Mexico are committing a crime if they cross illegally?
Oh, I don’t have to wonder. If caught, they get put in a Mexican prison, don’t they? Not issued a “please show up to court on this day and time” request.
The first illegal crossing is a civil infraction, equivalent of a speeding ticket. The second and subsequent crossings are felonies.
