Howard Stern - I See OJ Prank Call
Baba booey!
That call was priceless!
Peter Jennings sounds robotic, or drugged. It’s amazing he was a top newsman.
Didn’t he start shooting wolves on his ranch, or something?
OKAY IF YOU’RE LIBERAL ?
"And Baba-booey to y'all!"
LMAO.
That reminds me ... time to dig out my old copy of butt bongo fiesta.
In another thread, somehow I brought Gilbert Gottfried up... and what ensued for me was about 3 wasted hours listening to old, OLD Stern Show bits. Howard used to be fun... I did listen some on satellite last year, but it just wasn’t the same.
Yup, I heard it live and it was a hoot!!
That was brilliant, one of the greatest phone pranks of all time. Best part was when Jennings had to be told by a staffer, on air, that it was a "farcical" call.
KTVU Airline Crash follow-up report
Whoever the NTSB intern was, he is now a prank legend.
The setup story makes this even more hilarious.
‘”And Baba-booey to y’all!”’
Who or what does this refer to?
From wiki:
Gary Patrick Angelo Dell’Abate (born March 14, 1961), best known as Baba Booey, is an American radio producer, known for being the executive producer of The Howard Stern Show. His autobiography They Call Me Baba Booey, was released on November 2, 2010

Dell’Abate’s “Baba Booey” moniker originated on The Howard Stern Show on July 26, 1990, after telling a story of his prized collection of animation cels. In the course of discussing a Quick Draw McGraw cel he might purchase, he misstated the name of McGraw’s sidekick Baba Looey as Baba Booey. As is typical of the show, the rest of the cast “goofed” on his mistake, becoming especially merciless since he was mulling the purchase of a cel of a character without even knowing the character’s correct name. Toward the end of the show, Dell’Abate said, “I think we’ve taken this as far as it will go.” Howard Stern replied, “Gary, we’ve only scratched the surface of this.” Dell’Abate remains Baba Booey to this day. Eventually he titled his autobiography They Call Me Baba Booey.
That was Al Michaels...and above he describes his thought on the call
The “Lookey here” cracks me up every time.
Now lookie here...
I would be rolling on the floor when Howard would do “Black Jeopardy”... One time I remember Gilbert Gottfried being a part of the bit and the whole time he played it with a straight up Amos n’ Andy Kingfish voice the whole time... Classic stuff... we once had a sense of humor in this country. I was crude, perhaps, but the point was to ridicule pretentiousness, and it worked.
Love that clip too!
