The phlogiston flows through the aether, directly affecting the magnetic waves emanating from the seventh chakra. This is most evident in the shape of the skull, as any phrenologist can tell you.

I don’t know that there is a brain region - more like a brain vacuum.

Lefty humor is a non-firing nano-particle in their reptilian brain stems: they have absolutely no sense of humor about their religion--politics. I can strike up a conversation with a stranger, and in a couple minutes tell how they feel about Obama, the donks, etc.

I’m surprised this article didn’t try to link this with an evolutionary advantage as so many others do. Think back on all the articles about altruism, racism, monogamy vs polygamy, machismo, theft, sex for goods, etc, that have been said to be evolutionarily imbedded in our psyches.

“Social justice.”. A “just world.”. “Everyone getting what he deserves.”
Nice phrases. But who gets to decide what “justice” is, and what each person “deserves?”. I prefer to let the free market decide those things, not some self-appointed nanny.

Actually, brain studies have been done that show certain areas of the brain are activated differently in different types of people. One area is associated with people whose preferred behavior is rule based and tribal. The other area is called Utilitarian and relates to behavior that is based on logic and inquiry. Roughly tends to relate to more conservative and more liberal mind sets. Or to more religious or more scientific orientations.

They should be surprised there's a brain there at all. My girlfriend and I are submitting the following suggested diagnosis for inclusion in the next edition of the ICD-10:
321.0 SPLAT Liberal Cerebral Defenestration (LCD) or Liberal Acquired Brain Absence (LABA) due to keeping mind so far open that brain falls out. Initial and subsequent encounters.
