XX = Female
XY = Male

any other occurrences are so infinitesimally rare as to not be worried about.

Actually, any other occurrences are pretty sex-specific as well.
Klinefelter's (XXY): Feminine features, bigger boobs, smaller testes. Only occurs in males.
XYY: Males only.
Trisomy X (XXX): Females only, all regular aside from extra X.
Turner's (X): Females only. Sterile and don't mature sexually.

Any other genetic disorders will involve the other chromosomes. So genetically, you're basically set one way or the other. So, the issues arise from people with abnormal growth in utero. These are usually referred to as hermaphrodites, although they have an actual sex. Due to growth environment, however, the testes/ovaries may not develop properly, which can lead to confusion, but there is no grey area. The only true either-or is someone whop develops with an ovary on one side, and testes on the other, but this is extremely rare. And, likely, their genetic code is still 100% one way or the other.

This whole 'transgender' issue is mainly a mental issue. Either parents who raised their kids in a really messed up way, or overexposure to opposite-sex hormones would likely cause problems. But it's a mental/chemical imbalance, NOT, in any way, a natural occurrence.

And, I forgot to mention, the way to fix this is mental therapy. Chopping your weiner off isn't gonna help.

Has anybody come up with a theory why transgenders are so screwed up,regarding their genders? Other than screwy parents.
