You would think she’d be ashamed of herself but shame is in short supply in a lib mind. My mother was a farmer’s wife and fixed three large meals each and every day for my father and hired men. When my sisters and I got older, we were expected to chip in to help. During different harvest seasons, meals were prepared for our own men and for neighbors who came to help. I don’t think anyone ever went away hungry or with complaints. Never occurred to anyone that a woman would NOT know how to cook a meal...
This was during the ‘40’s and ‘50’s.....

Both of my parents grew up on farms. My mother started cooking when she was eight. A young person can get a good practical education on a farm, something that has been missing for a lot of young people for a couple of generations.
